Anxiety Self-Test Online

Do I have an anxiety disorder? The anxiety test, designed by a psychologist, helps you take a closer look and gain clarity.

This test supports you in finding out whether your worries and anxieties fall within a normal range, or whether you may show signs of an anxiety disorder.

  • Why do I constantly feel that something bad is about to happen?
  • Why can't I control my fears and worries, even when I know they're irrational?
  • Why do I feel constantly nervous and tense?
  • Why do I avoid certain places or situations out of fear?
  • Why do I struggle to sleep because I'm constantly worried?

Please note that this test does not replace a professional diagnosis. If you have health concerns or find the results worrying, please consult a specialist or psychotherapist.

Anxiety Test Test: 15 Questions

All questions refer to the last 14 days. The answer options are scaled like a grading system — the first option counts as one point, the last as five. Choose one answer per question and click Evaluate Now at the end.

1. Do you often feel anxious or worried?

2. Do you find it difficult to stay calm in unfamiliar situations?

3. Do you often worry about your future?

4. Do you avoid certain activities when you feel unsure?

5. Do you sometimes have physical symptoms such as a racing heart, dry mouth or sweating when you feel anxious?

6. Does the thought of being alone frighten you?

7. Do you find it difficult to relax?

8. Do you avoid social situations because they feel uncomfortable or frightening?

9. In a room with many people, do you often quickly look for a way out?

10. Do you often think about possible dangers or disasters?

11. Do you feel uncomfortable when you are alone?

12. Are you often worried about what other people might think of you?

13. Do you sometimes feel afraid of situations that are actually harmless?

14. Do you frequently need the support of others to do certain things?

15. Do you find it difficult to let go of your thoughts and switch off?

This online screening is not a diagnostic tool. Only a trained medical professional — such as a doctor, psychiatrist or psychotherapist — can advise you on the next steps.
