Loneliness Test Online

The loneliness test, designed by a psychologist, helps you take a closer look and recognise possible signs of loneliness.

This test supports you in finding out whether your feeling of loneliness is normal, or whether it might be a sign of a deeper issue.

  • How do I know that I am lonely?
  • What does loneliness do to me?
  • Why does loneliness hurt so much?
  • What happens to me when I'm alone for too long?
  • Is my loneliness normal?

Please note that this test does not replace a professional diagnosis. If you have health concerns or find the results worrying, please consult a specialist or psychotherapist.

Originally written in German — read the original here: Einsamkeits-Test.

Loneliness Test Test: 15 Questions

All questions refer to the last 14 days. The answer options are scaled like a grading system — the first option counts as one point, the last as five. Choose one answer per question and click Evaluate Now at the end.

2. Do you think of yourself as not lovable?

3. Do you have only a few friends whose company makes you feel comfortable?

4. Do you often feel rejected and unloved?

5. Do you often feel lonely even in company?

6. Do you believe you deserve to be lonely?

This online screening is not a diagnostic tool. Only a trained medical professional — such as a doctor, psychiatrist or psychotherapist — can advise you on the next steps.
