Test: Fear of Heights (Acrophobia)

Fear of heights (acrophobia) is a common anxiety disorder in which sufferers experience intense fear in elevated situations. This fear can show itself in various contexts — on balconies, viewing platforms or while climbing.

Typical signs of fear of heights can include:

  • strong heart pounding and sweating at altitude,
  • trembling and dizziness when looking down,
  • avoidance of situations involving exposure to heights,
  • feelings of panic on viewing platforms or balconies.

This test helps you assess whether you suffer from a fear of heights. You'll also receive practical tips for coping with the fear.
