Test: Introversion

In contrast to extroverts, introverts often come across as quiet, thoughtful and serious. This personality leaning is a natural variation in human behaviour, not a disorder or weakness.

Typical features of introverted people can include:

  • preferring focused, independent work,
  • taking on the role of observer in larger groups,
  • needing time to recharge after social interaction,
  • thinking carefully before speaking or acting.

With this test you can find out where you stand on the spectrum between introversion and extraversion. Bear in mind that most people show a mix of both tendencies.

Introversion Test: 9 Questions

All questions refer to the last 14 days. The answer options are scaled like a grading system — the first option counts as one point, the last as five. Choose one answer per question and click Evaluate Now at the end.

1. Do you rarely talk about your feelings with others?

2. Are you often perceived as quiet and reserved?

3. Do you find it difficult to form new friendships?

4. Do you feel uncomfortable in large crowds?

5. Do you enjoy spending a lot of time alone?

6. Do you prefer a few close friendships to many superficial contacts?

7. Do you take a long time to think before making a decision?

8. Do you prefer to work independently of others?

9. At events, do you prefer to stay in the background and observe others?

This online screening is not a diagnostic tool. Only a trained medical professional — such as a doctor, psychiatrist or psychotherapist — can advise you on the next steps.
