Midlife Crisis Test for Women — Online

How does a midlife crisis show up in women? Our test helps you recognise symptoms and offers useful tips from therapy.

This phase of life is often connected with self-reflection and change. Women may experience symptoms such as low drive, impulsivity or bodily changes.

  • changes in body weight,
  • a general "I can't be bothered" mood,
  • thoughts that lead to lack of drive, and
  • impulsive thoughts that prompt rash decisions.

This test serves as a first step in better understanding your thoughts and feelings. Please note that this test does not replace a diagnosis. If needed, consult a specialist or therapist.

Midlife Test for Women Test: 11 Questions

All questions refer to the last 14 days. The answer options are scaled like a grading system — the first option counts as one point, the last as five. Choose one answer per question and click Evaluate Now at the end.

1. Are you satisfied with the quality of your relationships with family and friends?

2. Do you feel physically and mentally fit?

3. Does your work still bring you joy?

4. Do you often feel the desire to break out of your daily routine?

5. Do you often ask yourself whether life has more to offer?

6. Do you frequently think about changes in your life?

7. Do you feel you are reaching your personal goals?

8. Do you often think your best years might be behind you?

9. Do you frequently react impulsively or feel without drive?

10. Do you sometimes think of ending your relationship or your job?

11. Do you feel hemmed in by daily routines and obligations?

This online screening is not a diagnostic tool. Only a trained medical professional — such as a doctor, psychiatrist or psychotherapist — can advise you on the next steps.
