Test: Envy and Social Comparison

Do you ask yourself: "Why do others always have more luck than I do?", "Am I an envious person?" or "Why does everything come easier to others?" These questions can point to a heightened sense of envy.

Typical signs of excessive envy can include:

  • frequent comparisons with others and feeling that you come off worse,
  • difficulty being happy about others' success,
  • ruminating about the supposed advantages of other people,
  • the feeling that others enjoy undeserved advantages.

With this test you can better assess your relationship with envy. It helps you understand how you handle the success and happiness of others.
