Test: Stress and Chronic Strain

Do you ask yourself: "Is my stress level still normal?", "How is stress affecting my health?" or "How can I better cope with strain?" These questions matter, because chronic stress can have serious health consequences.

Do you recognise yourself in these situations?

  • You often feel overburdened and exhausted?
  • You have trouble sleeping or cannot switch off?
  • You suffer from physical complaints such as headaches or tension?
  • You feel inwardly restless and irritable?

This test helps you assess how high your current stress burden is and which factors may play a role.

Stress Test: 15 Questions

All questions refer to the last 14 days. The answer options are scaled like a grading system — the first option counts as one point, the last as five. Choose one answer per question and click Evaluate Now at the end.

1. Do you often feel overwhelmed by the demands of daily life?

2. Do you often feel that time is running away from you?

3. Do you find it hard to relax after a stressful day?

4. Do you often think about your problems even when you try to switch off?

5. Do you often feel irritable or easily annoyed?

6. Do you have physical symptoms such as headaches, stomach problems, or tension when you are stressed?

7. Do you sleep poorly because you worry or feel tense?

8. Do you sometimes avoid social contact because you feel too exhausted?

9. Do you feel that your work or obligations never end?

10. Do you rarely take time for yourself because there is always something to do?

11. Do you often feel tired even when you have slept enough?

12. Do you resort to unhealthy coping strategies such as smoking, alcohol, or overeating to deal with stress?

13. Do you have trouble concentrating on tasks because you feel stressed?

14. Do you sometimes feel emotionally empty or drained?

15. Do you feel that you are losing control over your life?

This online screening is not a diagnostic tool. Only a trained medical professional — such as a doctor, psychiatrist or psychotherapist — can advise you on the next steps.
