Test: Overwhelm and Reaching Your Limit

Do you ask yourself: "Are my demands too high?", "How much longer can I keep up this pace?" or "How do I know that I am overwhelmed?" These questions matter, because ongoing overwhelm can lead to serious health problems.

Do you recognise yourself in these situations?

  • You no longer feel up to the demands of everyday life?
  • You feel that you are constantly falling behind?
  • Small tasks seem like major challenges to you?
  • You can hardly recover after work anymore?

This test helps you assess whether you are suffering from overwhelm and which areas are particularly burdensome.

Overwhelm Test: 15 Questions

All questions refer to the last 14 days. The answer options are scaled like a grading system — the first option counts as one point, the last as five. Choose one answer per question and click Evaluate Now at the end.

1. Do you often feel exhausted, even when you have slept enough?

2. Do you feel constantly under time pressure?

3. After a workday, do you find it hard to switch off and relax?

4. Do you feel emotionally drained or overwhelmed?

5. Do you often feel that the demands placed on you are too high?

6. Do you spend more time working than you would like, even in your free time?

7. Do you find it hard to hand over or delegate tasks?

8. Do you feel that you have to work more and more to manage everything?

9. Because of work, do you often neglect your hobbies or social contacts?

10. Do you have physical complaints such as headaches, back pain, or sleep problems?

11. Do you feel irritable or impatient when something does not go according to plan?

12. Do you feel obliged to be constantly available, even outside working hours?

13. Do you often doubt whether you are up to your tasks?

14. Do you often feel overlooked or insufficiently appreciated for your work?

15. Do you sometimes think about dropping everything and simply running away?

This online screening is not a diagnostic tool. Only a trained medical professional — such as a doctor, psychiatrist or psychotherapist — can advise you on the next steps.
